Privacy & limitations
Your WiFi details stay on this device
The editor generates the QR, preview and download files in your browser. No account is needed.
← Back to the sign editorWhat the editor keeps
Network names, passwords, welcome text and logos are held in this page’s memory. The tool does not upload them, put them in the page URL, or save them in local storage or cookies. Reloading or closing the page clears the editor’s copy. Downloaded files and browser print jobs remain wherever you choose to save or send them.
Website requests
Cloudflare hosts this site and processes the technical requests needed to deliver it. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page loads, visits and aggregate country-level traffic without an editor account or tracking cookie. When a file is generated and its download is triggered, the editor sends only a fixed export event, its format and a normal/verification/inspection label to this site. It sends no network name, password, text, logo, artwork or personal identifier. The export collector does not read or store client IP addresses. These anonymous counters cannot identify unique people, confirm a file was saved or track QR scans. Export events are skipped when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled; blocked or failed reports are not retried. Cloudflare retains the custom event data for three months. Loading the site still makes ordinary network requests for the page and its assets; hosting and network providers process connection information as part of delivery and security.
Your QR is a way to share a password
It is not password encryption. A person who has the sign or a photograph can read the encoded network details. Only create signs for networks you have permission to share. A guest network is usually a more suitable choice than a private household or staff network.
Logos and exported files
Optional PNG, JPG and WebP logos are decoded and redrawn locally before being added to the sign. Use artwork you have permission to reproduce. No images or editable templates are taken from the reference products.
What this tool does not do
It does not manage your router, create a hotspot, track scans, update a printed code after a password change, or bypass a captive portal. It supports static personal-network WiFi codes. Phone and network compatibility vary, so test the final sign on your own device.
PDF and PNG exports keep the rendered design. SVG text depends on fonts on the device that opens it. This site provides a free utility without a promise that every printer, scanner or network configuration will behave identically.

Internal traffic and anonymous page counts
We count successful requests for public HTML pages by fixed page path, country code and one traffic category: unmarked, verification, inspection or crawler. These are request counts, not unique people; a crawler user-agent alone does not verify identity. We do not retain raw IP addresses, full user-agent strings, query values or editor content in these counters. Custom page and export counts respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control and are retained for three months. Staff can explicitly enable a host-only toys_traffic cookie containing only verification or inspection, lasting 30 days, to separate their own page requests and downloads. It has no personal or session ID, is not set for ordinary visitors, and can be cleared at /__traffic/ordinary. Original Cloudflare Web Analytics totals may still include staff and automated traffic.
